Don’t forget our January swap is one week from today. 🙂 Here’s the January menu. Bring 7 makes.
Aaaand, while I’ve got you – anyone seen whole chickens on sale? They’re like $6 at HEB, and I’m supposed to do 2 per make – d’oh! Help!

They’re $1.49/lb. at Newflower this week, I don’t know if that’s better or not since I don’t know how much they weigh compared to the ones at HEB. Good luck 🙂
Duh. Just looked at your recipe. I guess it’s a wash since you need 4 lb. chickens. What about Sam’s or Costco? They might have a multi-pack of them for a pretty good price…
Jessica,
I had a doctor’s appt in Bee Caves this morning and ended up doing my grocery shopping at the HEB there. They had a bunch (at least 12) of whole chickens that needed to be sold by tomorrow so they were at a reduced price (avg. $1.50 – $2.00 for about 5 lbs.). Not sure if other HEB’s would have as many as well, but if you were able to shop today and get the meals in the freezer by tomorrow, it would save you a lot of money. Hope this helps.
Janis
